After completing the make-up artistry course the learner has the opportunity to complete the ITEC international Make-up qualification.
The course has three components:
Theoretical examination: Theoretical assessment is done throughout the training at the end of each section. At the end of the course a summative theoretical paper on all the work completed.
Practical examination: Practical skill assessments are done throughout the training and at the end of the course a full summative practical assessment will be completed.
Portfolio of evidence: Throughout the course the learner will compile a portfolio of evidence including planning, execution, before and after photographs. This will serve as entrance into summative assessment.

Basic make up application techniques
Colour and lighting principles
Ethnic skin make-up
Male photographic make-up
Colour photographic make up
Black and white photographic make up
Glamour photographic make up
High fashion make up applications
History of make-up applications eg. Egyptians – 1980’s
Performing arts make up eg. Ballet etc
Oriental eg. Geisha, eastern India etc
Avant garde make up
Theatrical ageing ie. Making eye bags, aged prostitute, hobo etc

Basic body painting techniques
Constructing and applying latex bald caps
